Message from Alan Kent

Alan Kent, CEO

Our objective at Meadows Regional is very simple: to provide top quality health care right here at home for Vidalia and the surrounding communities. Accomplishing that anywhere is a never-ending battle, but in rural Georgia, the fight is even tougher.

Fortunately, our state legislature has recognized these struggles and has provided this tremendous tax credit for contributions to qualified rural hospitals. It’s one of the few opportunities you have to help your community and receive an actual tax credit rather than just a deduction, minimizing your actual out-of-pocket expense.

Your contribution will be used to provide the services our community needs, ensure we maintain the latest technology for diagnostics and treatment, and recruit excellent physicians, nurses and technicians.

Thank you so much for considering this contribution. I can assure you our community will be better for it.

Sincerely,

Alan Kent
CEO

Caring for Our Community.

Interventional Cardiology

When you choose to contribute to Meadows Regional Medical Center — whether with your time or through a tax-deductible gift — you’re not just supporting a hospital. You’re supporting the health and well-being of our community.

In fact, while many community hospitals have struggled over the years, Meadows Regional Medical Center has continued to fulfill its commitment of providing the most advanced health care available — thanks in large part to the generosity of our community.

With your support, Meadows Regional has enjoyed many successes and, in recent years, has made several leaps forward leading to phenomenal growth.

Continuing to Grow.

Women’s Pavilion

Case in point: Before Meadows Regional Cancer Center opened in May of 2013, patients had to travel hours to other facilities for radiation treatment. Now, patients turn to Meadows Regional for the latest in advanced cancer care including radiation and chemotherapy services in a setting that’s close to home.

What’s more, with the opening of a 14,000-square-foot addition, Meadows Regional will be completing the second phase of its cancer center in early 2017. The center will help realize the goal of offering diagnostics, radiation and chemotherapy treatments and support services in one building.

Another major advancement impacting health care in our community: the opening of Meadow’s state-of-the-art Women’s Pavilion in 2011 offering advanced labor and delivery care and other women’s health services.

Deliveries at Meadows Regional have increased from more than 500 a year to almost 1,000 a year while pediatric services have grown from virtually zero to more than 21,000 office visits annually.

Building Strong, Healthy Communities.

Meadows Regional Cancer Center

The growth of these two areas of care alone are testaments to how a medical center —when supported by its community — can change the very fabric of health care throughout the region.

And when you factor in cutting-edge cardiovascular services such as interventional cardiac catheterization, advanced diagnostics such as CT and MRI, an ultra-modern emergency department and a state-of-the-art wellness center, it’s easy to see how Meadows Regional continues to lead the way in building strong, healthy communities.
